Lexicon Innovations: Parallel Lines:
An experimental contemporary play by Karolina Ristevski that used a single dramatic text to split the audience into two separate rooms to watch two different stories unfold.
Parallel lines is an experimental contemporary play that challenges the construction of meaning between spectator, performance and text.
The work is new and it attempts to use one dramatic text to produce two very different stories that will be understood at the end of the night when audience a and audience b come together and discuss the performance they watched
Baby Teeth Journal:
An online indie publication and small press founded by Lore White, focused on supporting local queer, anti-racist, and emerging poets.
Baby teeth journal is an online indie publisher and small press. This project is centred on local poets from Wollongong being supported and celebrated through Lore White.
An award and launch of the anthology in Wollongong at events open to all community.
“we’re a queer, inclusive, and anti-racist organisation with a focus on local queer and emerging creators”.
Journal submissions are open on a rolling monthly basis.
Fabled Feasts - Storyline:
An original interactive project by Lilli Pang combining unique storytelling with secret food locations revealed to ticket holders the day before.
Fabled feasts was an original idea based on a culture. The project involved an evening of sharing stories and food in unusual locations.
People had purchased tickets and then received the location details the day before and showed up to share a moment of magic that has never be repeated.
‘’I still hope for face-to-face event to occur in the future although for the moment its all online’’.
The Dire Theatre – SHEkespeare
SHEkespeare is a female-led collective dedicated to producing the works of Shakespeare through a fresh and inclusive lens. The project was born from the success of The Dire Theatre Company’s all-female production of Romeo and Juliet in February 2019, which sparked both critical acclaim and community enthusiasm.
Since then, SHEkespeare has grown into an ongoing and successful initiative, consistently providing opportunities for female and female-identifying performers to inhabit roles and stories they are too often excluded from in traditional productions. By reclaiming Shakespeare’s works, the collective not only amplifies underrepresented voices but also reimagines the possibilities of these timeless plays.
Beyond performance, SHEkespeare is committed to building a sustainable and collaborative creative environment, one that fosters capacity-building, artistic growth, and professional development for female and female-identifying artists across all domains of theatre. With each production, the collective strengthens its reputation as a vital, enduring platform for both empowerment and excellence.

Urban Biodiversity Illawarra:
A 5-year community education project launched by Emma Rooksby featuring a dedicated website to promote planting native trees and shrubs to boost local wildlife.
Urban biodiversity Illawarra is a community project to get everyone across the Illawarra talking about enhancing their verges and gardens with beautiful local native plants! For five years, the project had been dedicated to creating an impressive website and public launch that highlights the native trees, shrubs, and plants of the region.

Where did you sleep last night – Homeless Project
We know that homelessness is a real issue in NSW; it's on the rise and has been for years, also the Illawarra and the Shoalhaven are both hotspots for homelessness.
A 2019 study has found more than 60 people are sleeping rough on any given night in the Wollongong CBD and surrounding areas, and that's not counting people couchsurfing or in unsafe or insecure accommodation.
For a lot of us it's kind of easy to turn a blind eye to people sleeping rough, when we're cosy in bed tonight – but, a local artist, Keziah Sugarat, wants to change that, with a community photography project designed to raise funds AND awareness for homelessness in the Illawarra.
Misty Escarpment
A project which brought quality live jazz to people who can’t access venues easily.
Two concerts at two different local aged care facilities provided a selection of jazz standards to the audience of familiar music for a shared experience between the residents and those that they are close to.
The events were held on a Saturday for one hour to allow more carers, relatives and friends to attend.
